This show has bright spots for sure, the scenes of early monarch are actually pretty solid and the performances from both of the Russels are amazing. And... that's everything good I have to say about it in like 30 words. This show is a pile of trash with the occasional treasure (the ratio of trash to treasure is pretty damn high though.) Every actor whose name doesn't end with Russel is absolutely unbearable. Every single character constantly does absolutely retarded things that make zero sense, and there is zero development to any of them. Aside from "The japanese girl is lesboian oh my god that's craaazzzyyyy." They constantly drop huge plot points with zero development leading to them and nothing in the show outside of the early monarch scenes has any weight to it. I could forgive it if we got cool big scary monster scenes, but godzilla shows up less than good jokes in an amy schumer show, which is near impossible, so congratulations monarch. TLDR: , everything in the present day is unbearable except for kurt russel, the plot is incredibly underdeveloped, the pacing is far too fast, too much plot convenience, and it has everything else that could be wrong with a show. If you like being sane, don't watch it
