Firstly there was no “story” . No prelude to what led to this war, no talk of what it was about, no talk of the issues/conflicts, no clarity to what each side wanted and overall no clarity as to who was who. The journalists were absurd. Really they followed the armed combantanrs into the active war/fire. Their purpose?? What was the rationale of the young character? What about the characters? Who the heck were they? Almost less than 2 dimensional. I wondered why, given all the violence, I wasn’t more disturbed. I think it was because it was so superficial, no story And frankly silly at times. One of the worst films I’ve seen in years.
