Production generally well executed, but disappointing screenplay of Bernardine Evaristo’s wonderful book, and in particular disappointing compared with the fantastic reading of her text on Audible by James Goode. Suggest you listen to this first!

Fantastic movie, so great to see such a thoughtful and intelligent piece emerge from old references. Campion manages that rare achievement of inviting the spectator to make the links rather than being spoon fed. Visually amazing.
