Oh boy. I finished Life Doesn't Come With A Guarantee a week ago, and it's taken me this long to shake the Thud this story delivers to sit and write a review. Milkovich is so likable in this true story. She's a suburban housewife hero who has to navigate with her dying husband through inadequate brain cancer treatments and doctors who embrace inconsistency. Add bogus insurance charges, and you have one infuriating situation. I want to hug Carol Milkovich. How she survived this is beyond me. A great read. Well-written, and so insightful. Pray this never happens to you.
