The story was a tad darker than previous versions, but Robert Downey Jr. Plays the eccentric better than most other modern actors.
It is a good family film, some action, some drama, and some humor.
The villains are predictable, and the good guys are obvious. I think the speech of the animals should have been clearer, but the CGI was excellent.
A nice family film, probably destined to be a cable staple.
