Pulp Fiction on a train? Snakes on a Train?
Bullet Train is high on style, less so on substance, but a fun ride nonetheless. Things take a while to really get cookin' but once it does, it’s a fun ride! I wouldn't have hated some fat trimming from the runtime.
The movie’s ability to keep its two secret cameos under wraps was impressive, with one being an absolutely hilarious addition that finally sold me on what *Bullet Train* was trying to be. The ensemble cast was really entertaining—each gets a chance to shine in one set-piece or another.
All in all, a worthwhile action comedy as long as you suspend A LOT of disbelief in how *Bullet Train* gets all its seemingly unrelated pieces to fit in the end.
