The online multiplayer is frustrating, needing codes to connect. Sword and Shield had an easier multiplayer, being able to find a party without needing a code to connect. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have taken multiplayer backwards. Online multiplayer was one of the big selling points and yet Nintendo found a way to screw that up. As for the other major selling point, open world, it is about what you expect. Cool addition to the franchise. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are your standard Pokemon games. Has some cool new features, however, the online multiplayer fail almost ruins the game.
