The show feels like a storm in a teacup. They keep referencing how is America going to handle the Morning Show crisis. Believe me, no one cares. The biggest problem, however, is that I don’t care about the characters. They are uninspiring, shallow and petty. The writing just goes through the motions. On episode 6 someone mentions that remote shows are a good way to get promoted. Five minutes later someone gets promoted. Give me a break. This is AppleTV flagship show? The Crown on Netflix is at an entirely different level.

This show had so much potential and then it blew it. It stopped being about the aftermath of a post designated survivor US and more of The West Wing with cheap suits, cheap plots and cheap dialogue. It could have taken such a great plot idea into so many possible political directions. Instead, after the second or third episode, pretty much everything about the main premise of the title was resolved. What we were left with became a silly show with cheesy uninspiring subplots. What a waste.
