WARNING:
If you enjoyed Witcher 3, this game is not the same game. Not even close. This is more of a GTA goes to the future sort of game.
Anyhow. Because I do like sci fi and dark fantasy and Witcher 3 was one of the best damned games I've played in my life, if not the best. I anxiously awaited this one for over 6 years. Nevermind the glitches, they didn't cause me too many problems. I am rating this game 2 stars because it's just not good.
There always seems to be to me a sense of collective conclusions when an overyhyped game like this comes out. People say they like it and it almost seems to me like they are expected to say they liked it because everyone else does but as a bigtime gamer who had high hopes for this game, I was severely disappointed.
The story is ok, not too intriguing. The side quests become quickly monotonous and the minigames you're forced into like the "brain dance" are frustratingly boring. I really don't have a lot of good things to say except I loved the character of Johnny Silverhand opposed to the male V character who was dreadfully boring (especially when compared to Geralt who is quite possibly the biggest badass in videogame history)
The last thing I will say I disliked about this game is it is way too try hard with "OOH! LOOK HOW BAD NIGHT CITY IS!" Every time you load the game there is some bozo dancing and talking about crime rates. Then when you load it there is an interview that gets old quick about "no car jacking or assaults on the way over to the interview?"
All of this considered, I will say CDPR is out of their element making this genre. Stick to dark fantasy games like Witcher.
