Let me start with the few things I liked about this movie. I did think the actors did a great job and played exactly the roles they were set out to play. It did open up on the issues of forced guardianship among the elderly and how horribly they can be treated in scams such as these.
Now then. I hate that they almost want you to root for the villain that they make you hate so very much from right out the gate. All you want the whole movie is to see her get what's coming to her. I would've turned my tv off, had it not been for the possibility of watching Marla meet her demise. She's drugged by the mob, dumped into a lake, manages to wake up before drowning, saves her girlfriend from suffocating in a house filled with gas for God knows how long, and the first thing she does is proceeds to get her tooth fixed before the sun even comes up so she can go back after the Russian mob? Okay.
Best parts of the movie is watching Jennifer tell her off in the old folks home and the man that gets his revenge for keeping him from his mother in the end. The rest of the time I spent in front of my tv screen, I'll never get back.
What a waste.
