Simple and straightforward reenactment of the events of the investigation. It expresses knowledge and educated the audience that the world is not safe or private anywhere offline or online.
However, I'm not sure if the whistle-blowers were actually on set. If they were for the reenactment then they did a terrible job respecting confidentiality. The faces of the people could still be seen even though the front of them was dark. If they wanted to truly hide the identities of the individuals they should've taken more serious precautions.
