This book was magical to me when l was growing up. There was nothing like it on the syllabus (we had other great books, but they were all based on modern Zimbabwe. The illustrations are what hooked me. It showed me what ancient Zimbabwe looked like and for a child, it lights up the imagination.
A masterpiece!
