Faramund Bermuda

Visually awesome, Jack black is the GOOOAATT of course, and Aquafinas performance was surprisingly not super grating! But something felt missing. I think, personally for me, I wish it had tried to do something new with the 4th film story format. I found a lot of its elements predictable by now, but it had some fun scenes- the final battle was pretty creative and cool which I liked, even though her motives were pretty weak for such a significantly dangerous character. The pacing sometimes went smooth, and others it went rather quick, like a car constantly speeding up and slowing down. I didnt feel Po's parents getting involved was super necessary but they were sweet enough. The lack of the Furious 5 for 99% of the movie- hardly even being mentioned- left a strange void, but I understand this was a different journey for Po. The newest fox characters motives felt pretty cliche, and while I don't abash cliches, I don't think it was handled with a fun or impactful spin. Otherwise, it was pretty solid. I really liked the animation obviously, and the story was a 7/10 for me aside from some nitpicks. I definitely rate the first two movies a little higher than it but that's just me. Maybe it'll grow on me more after another rewatch :)
