On yesterdays Rachel Maddow' show she highlighted the Opioid Crisis and highlighted Norton VA (Wise County) Walmart. We the Virginia Dental Association run a large project in Wise county of free dentistry (Mission of Mercy) (the Walmart she talked about is the only Walmart with a pharmacy in it in the county of about 38,000 residents. She used the population of Norton of about 4,000 to estimate the number of pills per person. and got about 300 pills per person. However, Walmart is the mainly used pharmacy in the county. The estimate is wrong use the county numbers. Excellent program good cause - a problem in that county due to poverty etc. however, Wrong numbers. Dr. John C.
