The film is intense during the combat scenes, but is nonsensical in various ways. First of all, Texas and California have joined forces, when in real life this wouldn't happen. More than likely, the West Coast states would join together. There are other things that are not explained, and I had questions about the way the climactic battle at the White House plays out, but it's one of those, "turn off your brain and watch" movies. I wondered if we were just seeing the birth of a new, more repressive regime overthrowing the old, such as when Mao threw out the Nationalist Chinese to establish his Communist People's Republic.
