This movie is a troll. So if you love gross torture imagery, a shoddy premise, and poorly timed comdey. This is the pick for you. It's a shame because with a bit better pacing and less dramatic lighting, this could have been a real cult classic. Instead it was too serious to be a spoof horror, and too stupid to be a real horror film. Just sort of sitting in no mans land.

I enjoyed the film. Its a slow burn, very Edgar Allen Poe Tell-Tale Heart, with a fresh twist on American southwest Gothic horror. If you want an atmospheric horror film, this is the one you should pick. To anyone that has seen the film, you should look up the lyrics video Rats- by Ghost. Because it played in my head the whole film and it's just too perfect not to share.
