I overall enjoyed the coming of age love story and friendships, however, I think the show had an issue with the concept of forgiveness. Heartstoppers is about teenagers, who are still learning and who constantly go through trial and error while they are experiencing things for the first time. I believe Ben deserved to be forgiven. I don't like how Charlie can't seem to give him grace after he admitted that he did wrong and that his home life is not conducive to be gay. If the show can do better in the area of forgiveness then it would be great.
