Who is this movie for? It is not fun to watch homophobic emotional cheaters for Christmas. Are we supposed to be rooting for the main character or not? She seems like a bad person hiding her girlfriend from her parents, handing out with her ex boyfriend til 2am, vilifying her first gf to her college friends ruining her reputation. She seems to evil and intolerable. Coming out stories are cliche and over done, we are sick of seeing them. Especially adults. It’s 2020 and most people do not care even a little bit if their kid brings a woman home - as long as she is a good person. Get with the times, notice the ratings are either a 5 or 1. If you are straight please try to put yourself in k stews shoes and imagine how dismissed and awful you would feel if your partner treated you that way. It would be painful and likely end the relationship. I was looking forward to this movie but urge young gays not to watch it, the world is not as bleak as this movie makes it out to be.
