A beautiful movie. Gentle, moving and steeped in the marshes and it's wildlife. With a light touch it gave voice to many issues; racism, domestic violence, the mental health of men coming back from war, prejudice towards difference, and the sometimes harsh reality of nature But always, running through the film was the healing power of nature and just the majestic beauty of it. Love won
The film had some unbelievable bits. The courtroom was pretty undynamic, the bird in the beginning was too obviously CGI, lots of other things, but heh, I don't need every film to be high drama. It was an enjoyable watch. Just don't read the book first.
