Excellent writing; Excellent acting! Excellent directing. Excellent story! That was the time of World War II. People were not secure and didn;t know what was going to happen next Also, the plot includes friends gossiping and mother being mother. Just like real life.

Good series. I would love to watch it again. I was a young child during that war. It was my preschool time. Had two (2) brothers in that war. I remember my mother crying. Later 3rd brother had to go to Korean War. I thought Mother might kill him so the North Koreans couldn't kill him. :-) Well WW2 and later wars did not end all wars. I hope no more.
