Napoleon: There is reason to believe N had a sense of humor ,had a civil conscience(Code Napoleon) had a cultural interest(all the scientists and experts he took to Egypt) and was certainly a military strategist of the first wate and his appointment of superb generals And, Charisma!! None of this is brought out in the movie.We see a taciturn, dour and uncongenial fellow making decisions "on the fly" with no consultation, never looking at a map , never thoughtfully positioning troops, never pondering strategy with absolutely no presence or charisma. What we do get is a lot of bloody carnage....just like movies that show car chases through the streets of SF.They ran out of plot 20, or in this case 75 mins before the end of the film so they fill the space with material that does not advance the story. Happily I am a senior and so only paid $6.00 for this forgettable movie.
