The film linked well with the original and continued the story, including some of the original characters. Amazing fight scenes, pretty graphic but within context. However, I felt that it got bit silly in the colleseum at times, but perhaps that's just me as everyone else appeared to enjoy it. I'm not sure that a sequel was necessary, but it was quite enjoyable.

At times I found this series a little difficult to follow (mainly because my husband kept talking) but overall I found it quite compelling viewing. The storyline was quite interesting and a bit sad, I confess that I did cry at the end. I will definitely be watching it again.
