Polly Redfearn

I was very excited to be back in the world of the Inheritance Cycle but sadly this book didn’t meet my expectations. It’s so slow, deadly slow. I even contemplated not finishing it but I did. There seems to be 3 themes only - near drowning, near suffocation, and claustrophobia. In such a big book you’d hope the same events wouldn’t repeat themselves but they do. Then ending seemed rushed and lacking substance. There’s also a tiny number of characters with an active part in this book. What happened to all the wonderful characters from the pervious books - couldn’t we have had some as intriguing in this book? The he ending does leave the door wide open for another book. Disappointing.
