It's been a while since I watched a good movie, in the sense that this movie was very real and I was able to connect with the main character in a very deep way. The movie took me back to my childhood and it helped me reconnect to my child self and process what she had gone through. I am glad that this movie gave me such an eye opening and heartfelt experience within myself.
I do recommend that every parent should watch this. This can be uncomfortable to watch and if it is then I think it's important to take note of that and think about it. it was not uncomfortable to watch for me because the movie shows the real world and I see and have seen what was presented in this movie in today's world and while I was growing up. The movie is more for more mature audiences who are not ignorant and can put aside their ego. However, I still think it's a movie every adult should watch (and possibly teenagers and young girls because I promise you the content that's in this movie and much worse is what your little girl have seen in school and on the internet so you would be wise to use the movie as a teachable moment or risk having their peers and phones teach them).
The movie was a tearjerker for me and it was so full of emotional content. While watching the movie I felt my adult self clash with my child self. After the movie, I was able to think and process certain issues in society mainly the use of technology and how that impacted my life as a child.
This movie gave me and showed me a lot and I thank the director, actors, and all who were a part of this movie.
I rarely make google reviews for movies but I just had to for this one because the movie truly meant a lot for me.
