I recommend this book to any student or researcher interested in using new technologies to promote health. Beyond the general public, one of the challenges in health campaigns is reaching disadvantaged and minority groups and encouraging them to adopt healthier behaviors. We would probably use community-health workers and outreach activities to help achieve health efforts. However, we can strategically use evidence-based new technologies to complement (not replace!!!) those efforts in areas where humans show limitations including fatigue, small size of audiences, inconsistency in health messages and campaigns, disclosure and trust issues and so on.
