The worse part is they made us fall in love with Ba Reum and believed in his struggle while his dark side emerged. The biggest irony and twist is that now that there is some good in him, the new found guilt is tugging us towards empathising with him because of the bad gene he was born with. Imagine waking up remembering only bits of your past, mistaking certain behavior of yours is you, it's very philosophical actually, who we believe we are .. is in fact the memory of us. And when even your memory deceives you. I'd hope for better ending for Ba reum , gene therapy perhaps. He's doomed to no good ends for sure, the drama leaves us with plenty to ponder. About free will especially, whether we live in an illusion of freewill.

Amazing speed at which events evolve, no stalling, just a feast of non-stop excellent and immersive acting by main actors. Namgoong Min and Kim Byung Chul. Incredible way Namgoong talk, he exude excessive confidence n arrogance befits this almost unbelievable role. Both in my personal list of best Korean actors now. Incredible plot pitting them against each other, a right mix of good and bad. Oddly likeable roles, because they are so smart at getting back at each other, mind reading and anticipating moves, yet everything said done and stabbed, they remain candid or should I say, they seem to have bonded in the end. Some of the plots are way too convenient. They seem to get their way or get help coincidentally and timely. Subsequent plots have always been to Attack people around Nam, rather than attacking him directly. Plots are clever overall, swift and intense. Rooting for season 2, I'd be paying attention to their future roles.
