I wasn’t expecting it to be exactly the same as the original, in fact I wouldn’t want that, but it is just too different and it doesn’t make sense. The characters are so different from the original and the plot is so sped up and doesn’t give you time to breathe or let the characters develop or anything. I can see why the original creators left.
