Disappointed, was really looking forward to it, the writing isn't great. It's a bit violent and there's nudity but the story/ acting doesn't match that tone. Even Sean Bean is disappointing, doing a posh accent. The actor playing Robin makes me think of a medieval Forrest Gump, can't under what he's saying. The only positive is seeing Tom Mison as Hugh Loxley. Great actor

After loving the original film, apart from Tom Cruise's Lestat, I really thought I wouldn't like this series with them casting Louis as a black character (not racist) but the actors are perfect for the slightly more updated version. Jacob Anderson has Louis' calm stillness and Sam Reid is dangerous, flamboyant and charming as Lestat. Really enjoyed it. May read the book again, it's rekindled my interest
