As another huge Pacific Rim fan, I would say this is a absolutely fantastic show with such a story.
Two children going into a broken world infested with monsters, and they’re in a mech fighting them and creating new allies. They’re even able to find their parents, but sadly one had to pass away in front of their eyes while the other was founded by the ppdc and kept at the Sydney base.
It does feel very short lived with only 14 episodes for the show, but at least they have a few hints and small details from the other movies and it made up for Uprising. Another sort of con for it was about common sense in a few things. One, we never saw them eat or barely drink throughout the show. They had a few meals and a drink on screen, but nothing else to show how they were still surviving off of nothing. Within the time they were out there, they should’ve probably starved to death by then, but plot armor comes in to save that by showing us badass scenes, incredible twists at ends, and even really pulls your heartstrings when it comes to emotional scenes.
Overall though, if you have Netflix and are interested in watching it, go right ahead! Just be sure to watch the first and maybe the second movie to gain some insight on the story and the plot on what is mostly happening on the show, but if you don’t want to, it’s fine, enjoy it though, and even though I’m not much of a review writing person, this show has really pulled some strings to make me want to.
5/5 show, a few tweaks should’ve been made to hint at least a few new things that should come for pacific rim so that fans are still interested and not watching old movies and shows to keep them sane and hope that there will be more for this franchise, maybe a little more common sense, but a great show nonetheless!❤️😊
