For Context (If it helps) I am a 14-year-old Girl who lived in equal parts India and the USA.
This is an amazing movie that can be loved by people of all ages. It is a Superhero movie like never before seen in Tollywood, unlike its predecessors, in the Superhero genre of Tollywood (which flopped), this movie doesn’t try to copy Hollywood and Marvel. It brings a never-before-seen Indian twist to the tried and true hero arc. The main character, Hanuvardhan, is naive, careless, childish, and comedic gold. All the characters say/do countless hilarious things whether they intend it or not. The whole movie is full of comedy that will get you laughing off your seat (be careful not to choke on your food like I did!).
Not just for entertainment, this movie also gives a great representation of rural life in traditional Indian villages. Other themes throughout this movie are the accurate relationship and bond of most opposite-gendered siblings that is represented through our main hero and his older sister, and how even enemies become friends when they are threatened by a greater/shared enemy.
I will add that the people involved in the making of this movie were not well known or renowned before this movie so the budget was very low. This caused the VFX to look not believable at times. Especially because that contrasted badly with how good the CGI was, but this was a fault that comes with being a small movie with a low budget. Everything else was exemplary. Just goes to show that you don’t have to be a big-name director with big production value to make something amazing.
I can guarantee this movie will not be a mistake. I encourage you to watch this movie with people you can laugh with. I am proud of the creator for making such a good movie even with a small budget and I am highly anticipating the sequel, said to come in 2025, ‘Jai Hanuman’.
