Firstly I would like to commend the SBS Football team for their professionalism and quality of presentation. Lucy Zelic is an outstanding anchor for the football commentators that are on the show.
Craig Foster you have my admiration for taking the initiative to prevent injustice to a bona fide refugee detained in Thailand.
On the local front I am concerned about the injustice to Alan Stajcic and the unprofessional behaviour of the new FFA board that affects the Matilidas and the impending Womens World Cup performance. Fair Work requires a range of protocols before you terminate an employee and you have to give reasons for that termination.
Paper surveys always have a large range of variable biases and young people can always see these surveys as irrelevant and make comments that they assume are humorous but have unintended effects
After the years of Milk Bar Mafiosa and Chicken Bar Bandits running Australian soccer it has been gratifying seeing the professional approach that has significantly improved the game in Australia and our world standing in mens and womens football.
I am concerned that the new board has reacted in an unfair, unreasonable and without natural justice for Alan.
I have over 40 years of being involved in soccer in Australia as a player, coach & football club administrator as well as on the boards of charities and companies. It saddens me to see this lack of natural justice and the damage done to Australian soccer.
