Aaron Roaring Twenties

Enchanting film. The locations were beautiful and filled with so much wonder and intrigue. I like to watch films on the big screen primarily for their enhanced beauty and surround sound which provides a feeling that the viewers are entering another world. This film truly captures that feeling and delivers so much. The effects were incredible and the story was easy to follow. When they first enter the city I opened my mouth in sheer awe at the beauty that we saw. It reminded me of the city from Blade Runner. There are many action scenes that are memorable and the story is filled with adventure. Almost felt like an Indiana Jones film as the hero searches for the golden trident. The film ends with a strong hint to a sequel, but it will be hard to top this movie. Great experience. 8/10.

Just terrible. The jokes were childish and crude (mostly crude). Felt like a long uncensored sketch from Saturday Night Live. They mocked Trump several times, and used rap music between scenes. I gave up believing this was a comedy barely half way into the film. I wanted to get up and leave during the cringe worthy song near the end, but I stayed to see the Titanic. Yes! The film is set in the 1880's but for some bizarre reason the Titanic (which was built 30 years later) is here in 1880's London. I guess they did it so they could just throw in a few Titanic jokes that were sitting around the writer's desk. The only thing good about this film were the costumes, and the set design, and also the short cameo of actor Billy Zane as we see him boarding the Titanic. That's pretty much it. This film could have been so much more. A great waste of good talent. I give it 2/10

Fantastic experience. It truly felt like a classic Disney film. Well made, and respectful to the original. I was tapping my toes to the music the whole way through, and even between songs they were playing those familiar little melodies that we heard in the original. If you love 1930's music hall numbers then you will love this, and it certainly deserves to be a hit Broadway musical one day. I certainly plan to see it again. Disney at its very best.
