All in all, this book can be summed up by quoting Ezekiel 3:17: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.” Not (as Jonny Riches) summed up by quoting Romans. Sorry Jonny Riches, that’s the exact issue that Metaxas is trying to make in this book. We are called to be a watchman on the wall. If we fail to “blow the trumpet” we will be held accountable for the punishment is brings.
