I'm giving it two stars because the casting for Whitney was terrible . All I could see is Brandy with Whitney's vocals . I feel the story jumped too quickly like Aretha's and didn't focus on a solid story. One moment Whitney's married the next she's doing drugs and with Bobby Kristina . My thing is sure Manu of us lived through it but their are generations who haven't experienced Whitney so it is okay to start the story in depth from scratch. The 28 days they took to make it showed. They focused on Whitney's vocals. My thing is Tina turner, Temptations, Jackson American Dream, and New Edition made alterations to balance their movies/series out to focus on a entertaining story with progression through time and music . So I am unsure why this one failed . Maybe too much family involvement? Not enought interviews idk . It was okay but I would not watch it again . I rather watch the real Whitney . I Def was not sold . What Naomi presented could haven't been given by any actor . Watching the others even Chadwick's James brown I was sold he was James . There was nothing Naomi gave that a random couldn't have .
