I don't know how to describe this short book while doing justice to the beauty of the prose, the message of joyous duty and the beauty in everything that is too often overlooked. Discovering how the book is as much an autobiography as it is the tale of an honourable man has wrenched my heart. Spotted in a charity shop at the cost of £1 I am certain I will never be able to spend so little on something so valuable again in my life.
