Just watched this with my best friend. Decent film and although it’s definitely not the scariest of ‘horrors’ in the world, for someone who doesn’t normally go for horror as a preferred genre that was okay. To be perfectly honest, the plot or more the point/reason behind making the film would have made more sense if there was a clearer description or clarification as to whether Maud was slowly just descending further into madness and delusion or if she was actually in contact with something supernatural. With everything that was happening (eg her hearing what she believed to be Gods voice, her floating as if she was being possessed, her former patient suddenly resembling a devil-like character) were we simply seeing delusions and madness from Mauds point of view, or were we seeing a devoted believer in God actually being tricked by the devil. Had either one of these circumstance been more clearly clarified, the film would have been easier to enjoy.
Overall, pretty freaky film.
