Mum and I both read this book and had the same disappointment. It just ends and 1/3 of the book isn't even part of it it's a preview of his next story. Just a way to make it look like a normal book length for sale. Nothing happens with the cult story that's built up throughout the book. Having gone through Melb lock downs I was keen to read about it but nothing really happened except they couldn't leave the house but did anyway. I really wanted to love it as the idea is so great.
