I have studied Star Wars lore for well over 12yrs. I by no means know everything I feel that’s almost impossible but I have such a grasp on everything from lightsaber forms and which forms are preferred by certain characters, alien races, the names of ships and their classification, obscure knowledge most probably do not know and I can tell how things SHOULD be considering the lore. For example; Mando season 1 had a Krayt Dragon. Before they even attempted at taking it out I mentioned to my girlfriend verbatim “if they don’t pull out a Pearl after killing that krayt I’m throwing popcorn at the screen” you can imagine my elation when they actually showcased that. When Disney decided to follow lore. This show completely throws ALL OF THAT OUT THE WINDOW. Surface level fans who don’t know any better may enjoy this show but my god someone whose immersed themselves in this world it is the ultimate cringe and disappointment that I can feel all the way to my soul. I did not like the sequels they completely ruined beloved characters and the only tolerable one of the bunch was maybe Force Awakens but that begs the question did I like FA because it was good or because it was literally A New Hope rehashed. Listen folks I don’t leave reviews I never have but I went out of my way to make this one because The Acolyte was God. Awful. This is what happens when you have someone in charge who is a surface level fan. They ruin it. I’m not a director but I could have done a way better job, what the hell was even that.. if I could I’d give this show ZERO stars
