Charlie Retts

My name is Charlie Retts and I have never written a review before in my life, until now. My life has been about Leadership and maximizing human behavior...my Ed.D. is in adult learning. I just completed my first and probably my only book and it is all about my journey learning about leadership while managing adult professionals; many of them much more talented in many of the areas of management than I was (much like Ted Lasso). My book is called It's All About You! Ten Leadership Parables for Maximizing Middle Management." It is through Sulis Press...it is not self-published. I am not a Best Selling Author since I give the book away to middle managers for free if they are like me and Ted Lasso; we just want to be great leaders. My point is this. Ted Lasso could have written my book. I may be crazy but I believe that what I learned about successful leadership by working in leadership and teaching leadership for 35 years is what true leadership is all about and I see myself, as a leader, in every episode of this show. My kids tell me I should have written this show instead of my book, ha! Leadership drips from every episode in the Ted Lasso show. Thanks for showing what true leadership really looks like! I don't read books on leadership any more because leadership is more difficult and painful than the ten easy steps that most authors write about. Key: It's all about the leader! I would have actually given it six stars. At one time my son, who is a brilliant young movie writer and producer, told me to write a short post in social media for middle management every time a show came out and discuss the powerful leadership lesson that it presented. I was too chicken to do it, but I could have. I need to end this. Although, I am not sorry that this is extremely long because I could have made it much, much longer! That is what you get for producing something meaningful. Respectfully, Charlie
