I read this in the lower sixth at school for A Level French Literature, 1958 - 9.
Loved it!
However, I left after one year in the sixth and joined the Royal Marines.
The French always came in handy, though.

Sub standard acting and an unbelievable plot.
When will they learn that playing the part of a copper, or a soldier for that matter, isn't just about reading the script?

Absolute, unadulterated, unquestionable RUBBISH!
We gave up after ten minutes, which is probably something of a record.
We have watched mediocre and downright boring stuff before, even the ridiculous, but this took the biscuit.
A waste of ten minutes of my life.
