I can give it an infinite amount of stars, add another infinite amount of stars and keep adding infinite stars to rate this book and yet it wouldn't be enough for this absolute masterpiece
Kinda Longggg review but honestly after reading such an amazing book, I couldn't not write about the multitude of strong feelings this book made me feel.
P.S.- I am not saying all authors, but many authors who write dark bully troupes, enemies to lovers, revenge tropes or second chance romance troupes should really take a leaf out of this author's book. Veronica Lancet showed how an ideal possessive psychotic cocky mc should be with the fmc and how an fmc should behave if she is hurt/betrayed/has her love or trust broken by someone -i.e dealing with complete Apathy, and not succumbing to their desires and libido the second the hero touches them. Ufff now that the rant towards many authors, who seemingly destroy a good book by turning the fmc into a wimp is over , I can start by drooling over this masterpiece.🤤🤤🥰
Minor spoilers might pop out from here and there 😁😁
I thought that B and Theo would be my fav couple from this series but oh how utterly wrong I was. Almost nothing, I guess can ever come close to the love and relation that's between Asisi and Vlad.
Asisi is a freaking badass, strong and brave fmc. She keeps developing throughout this book, and I absolutely love how she blooms like a beautiful flower when she's with Vlad. Her darkness is delicious, I love what a psycho she is and how she unashamedly embraces that part of her persona. She is perfect for Vlad. She is broken but not defeated and her grit shines everytime fate throws a brutal curveball at her.
Vlad, Vlad , Vlad 😍😍 , in simple words, I seriously don't know how to describe this utter magnificent alpha specimen of a man. I was intrigued about him right from book 1, partly because I am a sucker for crazy psychos and partly because I wanted to know if he has some feelings for B. I never thought that I would end up loving, obsessing, adoring, respecting , admiring this breathtaking man. Vlad is a beautifully damaged and shattered man and yet he has the ability to love Sisi so deeply. I don't know why the other mafia men kept saying he was the bad type of selfish. I mean I never saw one selfish trait/work of this man that harms an innocent. The guy helped B and Theo recover their relation, helped Marcello and Lina with the Uncle problem. So what if his way of killing is bloodier, it doesn't mean that he has no feelings. I really wanted to kick and beat Marcello in this book. Hell he needed a few good punches to his head, honestly he was never that good if a brother and nope his past won't help him in wining him points because as much as I cried for him in book 2, Enzo too had had a traumatic past and yet he is a wayy better bro than Cello. I cried and wailed for Vlad in this book , especially when he knew about Vanya at age 15, the Vanya scene that happened with El viejo, the warehouse scene and honestly at almost all the confessions and professes that happened between Vlad and Asisi.
