7/10. A fitting conclusion to the Skywalker saga, but it ultimate fails to fix the mess that was The Last Jedi, and as a result, The Rise of Skywalker is unable to find its footing as its own thing. Rey isn't as much as before but still a Mary Sue, the plot is mostly weak and doesn't feel like a fitting conclusion at times. Whereas the performances, visuals and cinematography is all great. Overall, a good film, not great but good. But still, the sequel trilogy isn't canon.

My film of the year. Although not as good it's predecessor, Godzilla (2014), this film is still a blast nonetheless. The story, music, writing, action, performances, tone and fun are all great. Godzilla I liked in this film just as much as I did in 2014, but his new design I definitely love. I do dislike the theme though, compared to 2014 which was more realistic and grounded, this is far more fantasised, and while I can deal with it, I think the tone in 2014 was far better as it kept you far more engaged, and that's why I ultimately prefer Godzilla (2014). 8/10

A great film with a great story, great cast and performances (most notably Bryan Cranston), good characters, a consistent tone, fantastic music and marvellous monsters. Yes, Godzilla should have had more screen time and the characters are not the strongest ever, but they are special, they feel like real people thrown into a realistic scenario of chaos and I appreciated that greatly. I also really loved the realistic aspect of the film, it keeps it grounded and feels real to the audience which makes them feel for this film. And Godzilla was amazing in this film, screen time aside, he was big, dominant, had a clear understanding and was an all round badass simultaneously. Why they didn't bring back the main theme in King Of The Monsters I'll never know. It's been 5 years, dang time flies, makes me sad 8/10
