i thought the film was good, good plot, good characters and brilliant actors. i’ve seen a few reviews about the women being seen as weaker than men which was a bit of a downer but the part that really annoyed me was when the preacher drowned the dog. you can probably tell that i’m a dog lover and i hate any film where they kill a dog needlessly. i don’t think they needed to include that in the film, they could’ve written it where the preacher kidnaps the dog or holds it hostage but drowning the dog was too far and if i could give it 0 stars i absolutely would.
