This is the first novel by Isabelle Broom that I had the chance to read. The novel is about discovering your self (and travelling to new places often helps one with that😜). Broom makes it clear that pleasing those whom you love the most might not be equivalent to one's own happiness and might not be even how one wants to lead their lives. This is at least what Alice learns when she meets Max on her trip to Sri Lanka. The way Broom describes her travel to Sri Lanka pushes one on the brink of packing their bags and flying off to Sri Lanka (almost immediately😆). There are times that the plot of the novel seems too predictable but Max and Jamal's charm, and not to forget about Sri Lanka's, will definitely see you through that.
