What the movie does is make you look back and forth at all the characters, like a tennis match. I empathize with one character but then I root against them in the next scene. It's about three people who would be simultaneously better and worse off if they had never met each other, and the consequences of what is necessary to achieve greatness. The pulsating score pushed it from an 8/10 to a 9 for me.
