A really great TV show. The series has successfully reflected the bitterness and darkness of a Hollywood life, where celebrities just acted perfectly on TV and were judged by the population even though no one knows about their life. And most of all, the loneliness of being a celebrity, especially in the childhood period.
Regarding Bojack, I think the director was doing an extraordinarily great job to portrait this character. Bojack made a bunch of mistakes and bad decisions in his life, which was a result of having a bad childhood and toughness of a celebrity. I can really feel the depression of Bojack, as he was really trying to make things right for the ones he cares about. It seemed like everybody tried to get away from him and nobody likes him. But as an audience, watching the life of Bojack, we really felt sorry for him, and sometimes I even saw myself in Bojack. Sometimes watching the movies, I reminded myself in the darkest times, when I really tried to make things right, but everything just keep getting darker and darker...
Bojack was a very lonely character. He spent his whole life drunk or high to forget about his life. Every time things were about to get better, somethings just came up and dragged him down. And the part where he was getting rehab...it reminds me of the time I quit smoking, I can feel the toughness of it, and how much he tried to become a better version of himself.
It is hard for Bojack though. Every bad decision he made, they were hard for a normal human being, like the time he was trying to quit his friends or trying to lie about the Sarah Lynn death at the end, or the time he trying to kiss his deer friend(forgot her name :V). Overall, I felt so empathy with this character, and even though every actions that he made defined him as a total bad human, but he was still a very nice person...Sometimes, bad circumstances and bad luck really affects us, but it is clear that by learning from it we become a better version of ourselves
