Destiny 2 is a game unlike any other. A looter shooter that boasts a library of content that will have you hooked for hundreds of hours (yes, hundreds). Though, admittedly, the new player experience is a little tough to get through when you're first starting out, the end game pinnacle-level content makes it well worth the time investment.
Raiding with a clan (or finding a lobby through the LFG group) is where Destiny 2 truly stands out, as the mechanics and problem solving involved challenge even the most seasoned D2 player on release.
PvP as a whole is where you'd expect it to be. The pacing isn't too fast, but isn't too slow, time to kill is serviceable. There is a problem with cheaters in the upper-echelon matchmaking, but they're working on getting it settled.
D2 has a massive array of guns that almost overwhelms you at the beginning. Though you can quickly figure out the "meta" weapons, there is something for everyone!
The shining star (for me) is the Destiny 2 community. A very welcoming and extremely positive community that loves to bring in (what we call) New Light's and love showing them the ropes. Not only that, but Destiny 2's community and publisher loves to give back. From shining a light on social issues and calling out those who need to be called out, to raising 6 million dollars for St. Jude Children's hospital in a week, the members in this community are generous with both their time and their charity.
Did I mention that the game is Free-to-Play? Oh yeah! It's Free-to-Play!
All-in-all, Destiny 2 is a phenomenal, well-supported game with a die-hard community that's only growing by the day! Haven't played it before? Played a little bit but put it down a while back? Download it today, you won't regret it.
**Edit: I forgot to mention the soundtrack that's featured in the game! As someone who composes music for fun, the music in Destiny 2 really hits home
