One Thursday evening we opened Netflix hoping to find a new show to entertain us for a couple weeks. As we scrolled through the menus one title stood out to us: Floor is Lava! Interested, we started watching the first episode.
What happened next will be seared into my brain for all eternity.
This show is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!! The obstacle course is really small and not impressive at all! Clearly a low-budget series... Anyways, not only was the course and commentary very annoying, but then we got to meet the competitors (after 10 minutes of a lengthy explanation of the course). Once we met the competitors we entered a new low.
It felt like the competitors didn't understand the basic rules of physics-- at least that is what the show made it look like... Watching people die dramatic deaths and people barely being able to jump four feet eventually we were about to turn it off. However, we persevered and started to watch the next competitors. But once we saw them hanging a few inches above the finish line and then fall (only to see the dramatic fall 13 more times on instant replay) we gave up on the show.
P.S. While the show is completely ridiculous and makes you feel like a complete idiot, it did provide us with some good laughs and a weird memory!
