Streaming Review - 15 August - A Must Watch If you liked "Katha" by Sai Paranjpe or the epic tele serial "Nukkad" there is no reason you will not like 15 August. The movie s set on the preparations of celebration of Independence Day in a Chawl in Mumbai with an unemployed Artist on the verge of losing his lady love to a NRI suitor, the girls family detesting the Artist and looking forward to the NRI. The plot is a very unique one set about the engagement ring bought by the Artist, which falls in the hole meant for inserting the Flag for hoisting. The sweet kid who tries to get the ring out for the Artist ends up find his hand stuck badly in the narrow space and commotion sets in to free the kid, while on the other side the NRI suitor gets the grapevine of the deep love between the Artist and the lady he has come to meet. The maturity of the actors is truly commendable, with no traces of melodrama or overdoing any scene. It is truly an engrossing movie. The ending scene is a well thought out cut leaving the viewer elated, without any doubt. The background score is very good setting the tone for every type of the mood of the scene. Great movie by Ms Dixit, shows her choice for making sensible and touching movies, her signature appearance in the movie would have put the icing on the cake though. Stream it now. Cheers :)

Streaming Review Movie : Nachiyaar : Language : Tamil : Subtitles : English The movie stays with you for lot more time of the movie itself. Highly engrossing movie with class performances from the cast. The movie is about a emotional and innocent bonding between a casual worker, Kaatharvarayan played by G V Prakashkumar and Arasi, a househelp, played by Ivana. Ivana who is not yet 18 bears a child and Kaathar comes under the predictable legal imbroglio and gets arrested. The PSI, Nachiyaar, played by Jyothika, takes care of the girl post pregnancy and stumbles upon huge contradictions in the story. The movie gets gripping with fine twists and turns. The background score of the movie tunes well with various scenes and maintains the momentum of the story. Illayaraja clicks the right tones throughout the movie. Jyothika as a PSI is towering and powerful for the movie. She seems to have taken the long vacant position of angry young woman in Tamil Cinema. G V Prakashkumar and Ivana have given marvelous performances. The movie depicts innocent love of the young duo and shows the mighty big heart of Kaathar. A poor and an innocent person can have the richest heart in this wide world. Movie stays with you for a long time. Watch it and behold it. Enjoy ! RIS - Review in short. - A down to earth movie with least intention to thrill the audience yet, keep it glued. - Good performance by all the cast. - A must for older generation, parents and growing children. - Online frauds basically explained for easy understanding by layman audience ,covering OTP, phishing, email passwords. - Shows the police extremely helpful and intelligent, a good change from the department mercilessly stereotyped in many movies. - Depicts crime by youngsters just for fun without any deep intentions, a disturbing trend in the young generation. - A must watch. A very engrossing movie. It depicts the practical challenges of Indians migrated to UK. Problems range from growing up children to taking care of old parents and marital issues as well. A parallel movie of 4 characters with the some of the characters meeting each other as well in their own standing. The direction is very subtle, no-nonsense superb acting by the characters. It is a movie of 2012, but if you reverse the last two digits and consider it as made in 2021, make no difference, and would have been a very good hit in todays times. Story dwells on a hard working home maker lady, a migrated kathakali dancer having to work in hotels, a young bachelor busy dating girls and yet to find his true love, a father worried about his teenaged daughter and bedridden ill mother. These four stories run at a parallel space making the movie more and more interesting. Nadhiya, Mukesh, Josekutty and Navin have delivered super subtle performances. A treat to watch. A must watch movie for a lazy sunday afternoon. Get lazing !

Must watch film. Cast, direction, background score, storyline, sequencing of events, couldn't have been better. Twists and turns flare into realism of today. This movie throws the current Bollywood seemed-sizzler far into space.

A must watch. Powerful performances from Pankaj Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Rahul Khanna and Tushar Pandey. All other characters also have actually lived those characters in the movie. Kolkata somehow maintains the grip for doling out investigative thrillers with nostalgic street scenes and homes, whether it is in Bengali language or any other. Subject is cutting to reality at its best. Must watch!

A good engrossing movie. A good plot on revenge by parents due to injustice to their son. Manoy Bajpayee plays the role of emergency helpline in the police department. As usual he revels in the plot and makes the move very engaging. Neena Gupta scares you by ringing the door bell at 1 am past morning. The friendly atmosphere in the police emergency helpline room with vadapavs and tea adds to the movie in a lighter way. Take a look, thoroughly enjoyable. One forgotten point in the movie though, badly injured pet dog at home with nobody to attend to is forgotten with priority on hostage taken family member. I am sure pet lovers will find this story point strange. While the same day that morning, I got to know that my friend migrated from New Zealand to US and even took his pet dog at a cost more than their own flight tickets !

A very good engrossing biography on Captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life at the Kargil war on 7th July 1999 and was awarded the Param Bir Chakra posthumously on 15th Aug 1999. The movie captures the life of soldiers constantly at tenterhooks in the valley. Very sensibly the roles played by all and Siddharth who has taken great responsibility in playing the role of the grand martyr. The pace of the movie is captivating with no melodrama. The action shots make you think at what might be the real situation at the ground all the time. A very well directed movie, mature acting and good musical numbers. If the pandemic had not been there, schools would have flocked to the theatres with students to witness Captain Vikram Batra. Don't miss it and watch it without breaks.
