Judie Hastings

I found the story intriguing and well written. It has piqued my interest in reading more about the Civil War, slavery, Abraham Lincoln, women’s roles during wartime. The characters felt so real and the scenery was described vividly. It drew out all kinds of emotions - love, fear, hatred, racism, unjust division, and strength. I would recommend this book to anyone!
